As a result there will be a Scoop6 available between Tuesday 14th June and Friday 17th June as well as the usual Scoop6 on Saturday 18th June.

As they did during the Cheltenham and Grand National Festivals, all Scoop6 pools will be a continuation of the Saturday Scoop6. Rollovers from Saturday 18th June will be carried forward to the Scoop6 on Saturday 25th June..

Scoop6 races will be chosen the day before and will be posted on this site. It may be that some races within the Scoop6 during Royal Ascot are chosen from other race meetings taking place on the day.

Any winner of the Scoop6 win fund will have the opportunity to play for the bonus fund on the day of the next Scoop6. Customers are required to register for the relevant bonus fund up to one hour before the scheduled off time of the chosen bonus race. Any customer that qualifies to play for the bonus fund is asked to register by phoning the bonus race hotline on 0800 028 4418.

The Friday Scoop6 will not take place on Friday 17th June but there will be a ‘normal’ Scoop6 on that date starting with any rollovers from the previous day’s Scoop6

Scoop6 Adds New Starting Fund

Totesport have announced some upcoming changes to how the Scoop6 will run after the current win fund is won.

They are altering the current Scoop6 pools to introduce an extra Starting Fund which will be used to start off the win fund the week following that fund being won. This will equate to the total amount in the Starting Fund at that time. This means that there will effectively be a rollover in every week’s Scoop6!

The good news is, the punter stakes will still remain the same, although over four pools instead of three. The new Starting Fund is comprised of 5% of total investment each week. 35% of total investment is contributed to the Win Fund, 17.5% of investment into the Place Fund and 12.5% of investment into the Bonus Fund.

Previously the stakes were split as follows: – 35% to the Win Fund, 20% to the Place Fund and 15% to the Bonus Fund. The share to the Win Fund isn’t being changed, with a small reduction in the size of the Place and Bonus funds which we at scoop6.co.uk think may well be compensated for by the increased stakes from the win fund not starting at zero in the week after it is won.

To get things started Totesport will be adding £250,000 to the Starting Fund which will be used to start the Win Fund once the current sequence of Win Fund rollovers has ended.

Phil Siers, Totesport Managing Director said: “We are confident that the changes we are going to make will provide us with many more Scoop6 millionaires. The addition of a Starting Fund will mean there will always be a rollover for customers to aim at, regardless of whether or not the Win Fund is won the week before. We think this addition will prove popular with players as they will be able to look forward to big money rollovers every Saturday.”

Scoop6 Interest Surges to New Heights

It has now been twelve weeks since the Scoop6 was won. Not only has the win fund ballooned in that time, to a predicted £10 Million this Saturday, but also interest online has been growing as people take advantage of online tools to research selections, find the latest news and to place their bets.

The Scoop6.co.uk website has had a huge increase in traffic over the last few weeks and the team behind it have been working hard to ensure that it keeps up with the pace during this Saturday’s Scoop6

Scoop6 Traffic v Amount Bet on the Scoop6

As the value of the win fund rose past £6.8 Million last weekend traffic to the site was more than double what it was just a fortnight ago and over eight times higher than what it was at the start of the run. There were more visits to Scoop6.co.uk last Saturday than during the whole of March. A similar increase is expected this week as there is a lot of buzz about the huge Scoop6 win fund passing £10 Million rollover and awareness of the Scoop6.co.uk site is spreading almost as quickly.

About Scoop6.co.uk

Scoop6.co.uk is a site run by fans of the Scoop6 to give other Scoop6 punters easy access to data about the pool. Set up in 2005, the site is the easiest way to get the latest information about how the Scoop6 is unfolding.

The site is updated constantly each Saturday with the very latest information on how the Scoop6 is progressing. This starts early in the morning when final confirmation of the Scoop6 races is made. During the rest of the morning the payouts available from each pool can be watched increasing as more stakes are added into the pool.

In the afternoon the racing starts. As each race result is declared by the tote the results are shown on Scoop6.co.uk and details of how many tickets are still in with a chance of winning are released. The site also displays which runners those tickets are resting on in the next race. If a punter is doing well they can use this to see how the prize fund may be split if their luck continues. If they are not doing so well they can join the other Scoop6 punters who are hoping the horse carrying the least tickets wins, since that increases the chances of another rollover!

Finally, after all the the results are in, the number of winning tickets is shown along with the payout each will receive – or how much will rollover to the following week if there has been no winner.

Features

While the focus of the site is on bringing the live Scoop6 results to users as quickly as possible the site also features a news section where the races are announced on a Friday and other information can be posted. Separately there is also a Scoop6 Twitter account that posts the core details as they happen.

£8 punter misses out on £6.8 Million by a length

The Scoop6 rolled over again last weekend but two small staking punters got closer to claiming the £6.8 Million win fund than anyone else has in recent weeks.

Going into the final 6th leg there were just 3 horses covered by winning tickets. One punter from Ireland, who placed a single £2 bet, had a ticket on Capaill Liath while both Escape To Glory and Justonefortheroad were running for Joe McGuire from Thatcham, Berks who had placed four £2 Scoop6 bets.

Escape To Glory appeared to have the best chance, setting off at 10-1 and even being matched at 1.01 in running, but Llanarmon Lad came home first to win by 11/4 lengths and so causing the Scoop6 to not be won again. Capaill Liath came in third whist Justonefortheroad finished 6th.

Joe told the Mirror “I picked the horses because I fancied them. A few had good form so I just went with my gut. I’m absolutely gutted, but that’s life. It’s still amazing to have five winners but I’m sad, it’s the closest I’ve ever come to a big win.”

But both punters have some consolation, as they chose placed horses in each race they get a return of over £1,700 from the place fund, as do over 750 others. That’s still not a bad return for a small stake!

As the Scoop6 wasn’t won it will now rollover to next Saturday where Totepool are predicting the win fund will be worth around £10 Million and for the bonus fund to reach £5 Million. Definitely not one to be missed!
