This week\u2019s Scoop6 pool is expected to swell to \u00a3375,000<\/strong>. Tote predict there will be around \u00a385,000<\/strong> in the win fund and \u00a3290,000<\/strong> in the bonus fund.<\/p>\n
The pool opens in the 1.50pm at Ascot, where Oliver Sherwood\u2019s mare Papagana bids to build on a fine effort in Grade 1 company at the track last time out. At 2.25pm, we\u2019ll get to see if the highly touted French recruit Pic D\u2019Orhy can stage his coming out party for Paul Nicholls. This five-year-old is on a lofty enough BHA rating based on what he\u2019s actually achieved on the track thus far, but he carries a good reputation and we\u2019ll find out where we are with him in this race.<\/p>\n
Tote spokesman Kevin O\u2019Malley said: \u201cWe have some competitive handicaps in the mix on Saturday, but with the biggest field only housing eleven horses, there are no real banana skin races. We\u2019d expect punters to have a good go at this win fund, anyone managing to negotiate the six leg pool unscathed would set up an exciting tilt at a hefty Bonus fund on Cheltenham Trials Day.\u201d<\/p>\n
