The lucky Nuneaton resident, in his 60s, will now get the chance to win the \u00a3878,562<\/strong> Scoop6 bonus fund by finding the winner of a selected race this Saturday. Details of that race, and the other Scoop6 races, will be posted on this site on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Totepool spokesman Mark Pearson said “We are delighted a small staking punter has landed this life changing amount and if they can scoop the bonus next week it would take their winnings to \u00a31,290,525<\/strong> which would be a record for a British betting shop.”<\/p>\n

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, spoke to Simon Clare from Coral and said “I don’t always do the Scoop6 but I thought I’d have a go given how much money was at stake. I was working for the first three races, but then my daughter rang me to say they’d all won, so I watched the fourth and fifth races on telly, and then had to go out so followed the final leg on the Racing Post website commentary. He has been a regular punter for over forty years and an enthusiastic lifelong supporter and fan of horse racing. If you get out of life what you put into it, then it is entirely fitting that horse racing has rewarded this individual with a life-changing win. That said, as he pointed out quite firmly, this win wasn’t down to luck. He picked his six selections very carefully and his win was down to skill.”<\/p>\n
