There were 3 winners of the Scoop6 last Saturday who each won £209,519! They will be playing for the bonus fund worth a further £570,740 this Saturday and will need to pick the winner of the 2:00 at Haydock. If they fail, any winners from this week will play for an even larger bonus next Saturday.

One of the three winners was a small staking punter while the other two were syndicates. The Warwickshire couple, who have chosen to remain anonymous, staked just £8 on the bet and were rewarded with a £209,518 windfall after finding all six winners. They plan to use their winnings to help their children pay off their mortgages.

The couple, who have been married for 42 years, will be at Haydock to watch the big race unfold exactly a year on from the record-shattering £15m Scoop6 which created eight individual millionaires.

Speaking on Thursday about their win, the wife said “We can hardly believe it to be honest. Nothing like this ever happens to us and our heads have been in a whirl all week. It’s a fantastic feeling to win so much money. It means we can do some lovely things for our family and we can also sit back and enjoy our retirement.”

The couple worked together on their selections last week but the responsibility for the bonus race lies with the husband tomorrow. She added “I’m not having anything to do with picking the bonus horse. My husband is much better at reading the form and he bought the Weekender this week so he’ll have an eye on what’s been tipped up. We’re going to Haydock and we’re looking forward to a lovely day out. We can’t really go wrong considering what we’ve achieved already so the pressure’s off. We saw last year that dreams can come true on the Scoop6, so you never know, it could happen to us!”

totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths said “We’ll have our fingers crossed for all three ticket holders but we’ll be cheering especially loudly for our Warwickshire couple in the bonus race. We love to see small punters winning big on the Scoop6 so it would be terrific to see them take home the lot.”

Tomorrow’s Scoop6 starts off with £75,291 in the win fund and that value will increase rapidly as stakes are placed. Totepool predict Saturday’s combined win and bonus fund could hit £150,000, with the win fund being worth around £125,000 and a further £25,000 expected in the bonus pool at the start of play.
